Nicole Ramirez

Nicole Ramirez is a graduate student pursuing a MSc in Sustainable Development from the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex. She brings a wealth of experience from the international development sector, primarily in pro-democracy initiatives, food security, and education, and is excited to apply her knowledge and skills to US contexts with WFX. Through her experiences working with local project teams across Latin America and teaching in a small, close-knit island community in Spain, Nicole became passionate about community-led initiatives. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Ecology and Development from New York University and loves incorporating alternative theories of development and sustainability, like political ecology, into her work.
