WFX Releases 2024 Annual Report

Water Finance Exchange (WFX) has released its Annual Report, detailing the partnerships, highlights, and programs that made 2024 a success. WFX worked with 60 communities across 10 states, delivering comprehensive technical assistance for systems serving more than 270,000 people.

“I am proud to share this 2024 Annual Report highlighting the progress, challenges, and emerging direction of the Water Finance Exchange,” said Hank Habicht, Managing Co-Founder of WFX. “Since our founding in 2020, WFX has been guided by the belief that water is far more than just a necessary service—it is a cornerstone of human and economic health, and a gateway to improving quality of life. With this vision at our core, we have built a team of dedicated professionals and a national network of experts focused on addressing the critical water infrastructure needs of our communities.”

WFX’s mission is to help underserved and under-resourced communities access funding, financing, and expertise to implement resilient, sustainable, and equitable water infrastructure solutions. WFX provides comprehensive technical assistance (TA) for small and underserved communities from the ground up, rather than top-down, working alongside local leaders to reach water solutions that are affordable and promote sustainable water management, while adding capacity to access available funding, national expertise, and remove roadblocks.

WFX’s vision is to build pathways to healthy communities and regions. Water infrastructure is more than just pipes and pumps; it is a cornerstone for healthy communities and economic development; all communities should have water and sanitation that is affordable and sustainable.
